Major emphasis on the mental stimulation and time spent together. They WILL become destructive if they do not get a generous amount of both. And trust me, they have the teeth to destruct. Ask me how I know 🙃🥴

Wrong for a BerniesDoodle that will go on through Specialty Breeders that works with Service Dog Organizations look at $16,500and not including the basic puppy training where they start to coordinate the service dog training basics such as good citizenship in and that's additional $7,000+ for four weeks of the training. Depending on the Service Dog Facility or Organization you go with the puppy has the specific Service Dog training starting between 1yrs -2yrs. It can can take up to three years depending on what the dogs Service Dog skills are required. Online and Private training is best way to go if you continuesly run into dead ends with Service Dog Facility. I'm going through Atlas Organization and they give you the best candidate breeds for a Service Dog for the would be handler and then the best trustworthy breeders.

My breeder who I have gotten Meliodas from is a special breeder, in the fact they work with Service Dog Facility and Originzations and place the best of their litter with them to make a difference for people like me. My Meliodas is this breed and will be learning to alert me to Hypoglycemia and Hypokalemia and also help me with adventures outside of home because I suffer from CPTSD Complex Post Traumatic Stress Anxiety Disorder as a Survivor. My dogs at home are EMS and Medical Task Trained to help me at home with my Hypoglycemia and also help with night Terrors and Panic Anxiety. The Atlas Organization recommended a BerniesDoodle or an AusieDoodle because of my CPTSD and Medical Condition. During an Hypoglycemia Hypoklimea medical issue or Anxiety Panic Attack I have moderate to sudden severe symptoms such as Dizzy Vertigo Spells, Brain Fog and Heart Irregularty. My coordination and balance become unstable and that's where my BerniesDoodle comes into help me balance and help me to ground or to somewhere safe to sit, the dog will pick up on my serotonin levels and guide me out of stress trigger areas when I freeze up from anxiety, he will give deep pressure therapy and bring me medicine or a body armor based on what's happening. They make a great service dog, so I have absolutely no reason you won't bring up that they can become a Service Dog.

The expensive thing sometimes doesn’t apply. I know of a few very good reputable breeders with beautiful tri color bernedoodles that are less than $1000.

  5. william francis Collett says:

I am sadly disappointed. I was hoping to find a companion here. The pro's are fantastic to have, the con that effects opwning one is a con job, the price. Justifying that price has to be so painfully sad. 1500, is bad enough, it would be better to invest in 2 ounces of gold, without the emotional side. 😵💔

  6. Wendisue says:

We have one. He is the most wonderful little man ever. I cannot say enough to express how easily he became part of the family. However, he was not easy in behavior. He did bite a lot as a puppy. He needs grooming/brushing often. He needs to be busy or he isn’t the best behaved (Barbox is best for this as new toys are a way to help). He loves to play frisbee several times a day. He loves walks in the woods especially after a fresh fallen snow. He is our third puppy as a family just turned a year old & is the most loving puppy we have ever had. I recommend highly but he requires attention for a positive result. I have much time into him for everything including training. We are considering another one. That’s after already getting our daughter a maltipoo for her to have at college. Our mini bernedoodle plays well with every other puppy/dog. He is just overall wonderful.

  7. Bob Barnhill says:

We have 2 Bernadoodles. One of the best dogs I have ever owned. Super easy to train but have a stubborn streak. Once you figure that out and the dog realizes your the Alpha then things go really well. I highly recommend these dogs to anyone who asks.
If looking for new pups do your home work in the breeder. Parents should be AKC registered and verify the records. There are some willy nilly breeders out there that are looking to score big money selling puppies.
The breeder is everything when it comes to this cross bred.

  8. lynnpurse says:

Do NOT get a bernedoodle. You will get a dog with the high energy of a poodle with the huge size of a Bernese Mountain Dog, a recipe for disaster. A family member was hurt badly by her bernedoodle who unexpectedly dragged her across wet grass – this was after months of careful training. The dog is sweet but her size and energy are dangerous. Get a poodle or get a Bernese Mountain dog; don't get the mix.

  9. Nicole Cannon says:

I am looking forward to our future mini Bernedoddle pup! Momma is too young still but we hope to have a Christmas pup next year! Just have to wait for her to become more mature and find the right breeder and stud to AI.

  10. Nijel Noel Network says:

My Bernedoodle Bentley is a barker (when the doorbell rings or when he hears any noise outside) he is so sweet he is gentle with certain ppl and rough with kids and men (when playing) he is soooooo smart he started out all black with white paws and a small patch on his chest and now he is turning 1 soon he is Tricolor he has brown and white fur around the mouth and his paw pads have tan fur he sooooo cute definetly took on the look of a poodle but all the way berne he is also lazy af hell walk for about 5-10 mins then he’s ready to go in and nap. He loves our family hates being alone. On my channel i have a 2-3 month review of him but i will be posting a 1 year Bernedoodle update soon. But he is very interesting breed. Every time we walk him he gets sooooo much love from everyone and he loves it (although every now and then he barks at strangers very well but its like he knows something we dont) but other than that he is all bark and no bite. I will say this breed is super funny and loves a family.

  11. Firebladetenn says:

I’m looking into getting one but what do y’all think, would one make a good Service Dog?

I’m an Epileptic and he would be a seizure response dog. If I show signs of having a seizure the dog will have been trained to roll me onto my side and lay behind me to keep me there. And to go get someone if I am alone in public during one or to bark to let my husband know I’m having one. After it’s over he is gonna need to stick to me until I wake up then let me cling to him for a bit while I calm down. (I freak out and cry when I wake up from one). And to top it all off he will be next to me for the rest of his life. Vacations, doctor appointments, dining experiences, grocery store, etc
It is actually illegal to separate a service Dog and their human. Did y’all know that?
I was kinda hoping that the breed’s loyalty and love for their human will help out with that last part the most.

  12. Peaches Peaches says:

I have brittany mutt and a bernadoodle. Polar opposite dogs. Mutt stoic, not that affectionate, extremely intelligent. Bernie is the most compassionate dog I've ever seen, loving, needy in a good way, and smart. Not sure I'll ever get another breed.

  13. Antonia Baker says:

No idea why you would take two pure bred dogs and make a mutt. An accidental mating which still shouldn't happen i can understand but intentionally is just wrong.

  14. Eyes of Blue10 says:

My bernedoodle is 15 weeks. She has multiple accidents in the house a day, she bites everyone, jumps on everyone and is hyper. She is not very loyal. She'll turn on me in a heartbeat. Do research to make sure this breed is for you. And get your puppy from a reputable breeder. Best wishes. 🐩🐕
